Münsterhof (often colloquially called Münsterplatz) is the central square in front of the Fraumünster in Zürich’s old town, one of the few larger public spaces in the medieval core. It has served since around 1300 as a political and ceremonial stage—site of royal receptions, markets, and later cafés and events—and today functions mainly as a lively, traffic‑reduced plaza with restaurants and the famous Neptun‑Brunnen.

The Münsterbrücke is the bridge that links Limmatquai (near the Fraumünster) with Paradeplatz, crossing the Limmat just below the Münsterhof. It carries road and tram traffic and forms part of the key axis Limmatquai–Münsterbrücke–Paradeplatz, while its wide sidewalks offer classic views of the river, the old town, and the lake.
